The Arlberg is accessible via well cleared roads throughout the year. In winter, you should still carry the appropriate winter equipment for your car - during the winter months there is an (without exeption) obligatory use of winter equipment in Austria. Depending on snow conditions snow chains can also be pronounced!
Zürich: 197km – 2h 15min / München: 189km – 2h 45min / Innsbruck: 126km – 1h 25min / Mailand: 334km – 4h
We recommend to inform yourself before driving on the current road conditions.
Arriving by carPlease note when planning your journey, that the road between Lech and Warth is closed during the winter months as a rule! Many navigation systems do not show these Winter lock! Plan your arrival therefore about Zürs or inquire after the current road conditions. From spring to autumn (depending on the snow situation) is the road from the north, between Warth and Lech, and free of obstruction. |
